BYD sells the Tang DM-i with two Blade battery sizes, and electric-only range and 0–100 km/h time differ between them. The 1.5-litre turbo engine, 200 kW front motor and seven seats are BYD figures common to both and are indicative only. The battery in this car is confirmed on enquiry — ask us and we will tell you which pack it has and the range it is rated for.
Overview
The Tang is BYD's flagship SUV: three rows, seven seats, and the most finished cabin on the forecourt, in soft taupe leather around a large rotating screen. Its DM-i system runs on electricity for everyday driving and brings in a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine for distance. A family can do the school run on a home charge and still drive out of Abuja without planning a single stop.

Charging This Vehicle
Pair it with the
right charger.
For home charging we'd typically start with the Home AC 7.4 — an overnight charge covers most Abuja driving. Final recommendation follows your electrical assessment.

7.4kW AC
Home AC 7.4
Adds roughly 35–45 km of range per hour for most EVs. A typical overnight charge fully replenishes daily Abuja driving.
