BYD offers the Sealion 06 DM-i with more than one Blade battery size, and electric-only range and acceleration differ with each; the 2026 update also changed the drive motor. The 1.5-litre engine, front-wheel drive and five seats are common to every version. Overview
BYD's mid-size family SUV, built around its DM-i plug-in hybrid system. The battery and electric motor do the driving; the 1.5-litre petrol engine mostly works as a generator, and only drives the wheels directly at cruising speed. Charge it at home and most Abuja weekdays never touch the tank. Take it out of town and there is no charger to plan around.
